Let's see. How long has this dream been in progress, under construction, almost ready to launch? Answer is too long to say. I've had this concept in mind for many years since I began making jewelry with remnants of other jewelry. That lead to same concept with handbags. While being a "maker" I was also collecting special occasion vintage to round out the shop buffet and provide my customer everything they would need to attend an event - Lady Like style. My husband always a bit concerned when new fluff on a hanger arrived at our tiny cottage home. A brick and mortar was the ultimate, but I wasn't happy with the lease agreements in this area. Next idea was the vintage 1965 trailer to house my shop, but that also proved inefficient as space and humidity were issues. How about ecommerce on Shopify? Yes, that works! I built this humble site myself with constant assistance from the online tutors. I haven't re-invented the wheel, but I proudly present it as my own.
Why Lady Like? My "about us" section has all those details if you're interested. I've been blessed with a long enough life to look back many years and know people of my past are with me not just in my DNA, but these woman molded me when I could be molded. They were the glamorous stars in my life who wore the clothes I salivate over, dream of, carefully curate anywhere I can. There of course were lots of men who are special in my memories, but as a woman I can truly say I carry on the Lady Like style those special women passed to me with grace and humility. I love them, honor them and I'm still inspired by their memory that will hopefully be palpable at this shop every day.
